Ofsted Registration
School's Out Activities is proudly Ofsted registered at every venue we operate. We are registered on both the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register, meaning we comply fully with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
What Does Our Registration Mean?
As a holiday camp provider, we register each of our school venues with Ofsted on both the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register. This means we are held to the same rigorous standards as nurseries and childminders.
Compulsory Registration
Required for all providers caring for children aged 0–7. This ensures we meet the full EYFS statutory requirements including welfare, safeguarding, staffing ratios, and suitable premises. Ofsted inspects our provision against these standards.
Voluntary Registration
We also voluntarily register for children aged 8 and over, even though it's not legally required. This demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care across all age groups, giving parents complete peace of mind.
EYFS Compliance
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards for learning, development, and care for children from birth to 5 years. As an Ofsted-registered provider, we comply with all EYFS requirements across every venue.
Qualified Staffing & Ratios
We maintain strict staff-to-child ratios in line with EYFS requirements. Our team includes qualified Early Years practitioners to ensure the highest standard of care.
Safeguarding & Welfare
All venues operate under rigorous safeguarding policies. Every staff member is Enhanced DBS checked, reference checked, and trained in child protection.
Suitable Premises & Facilities
Each venue is assessed to ensure it provides safe, suitable indoor and outdoor spaces. We work with our host schools to maintain environments that meet Ofsted standards.
Toileting & Hygiene
Age-appropriate toilet facilities are available at all venues with supervised access for younger children. Strict hygiene procedures are followed throughout the day.
Inclusion & SEND
We are committed to inclusive practice and make reasonable adjustments so that all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, can participate fully.
Learning & Development
Our activity programme supports the EYFS areas of learning including communication, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development — all through play-based activities.
Our Venue Registrations
Every venue we operate is individually registered with Ofsted. Below you can find the registration details and inspection status for each site.
